Children's Book Update: pages 9-10

Will be in watercolour, coloured ink & crayon for the final, this is just some value work for the dummy book. I'm doing it, slowly but surely.
Page 10, half of 2 page spread that shows the city that Mr. Grimwald, the villain, owns. Lots of gray, hard lines, etc. There will be limited colour for these shots.

Fall 08: Portfolio
Portfolio is a thrilling venture, considering that the real portfolio I need to make is aimed towards grad programs for fine art painting and not illustration. I am going to go the children's book route but I do not have enough pieces yet, so for know it is just a strange hybrid of things. I am excited but stressed about finishing all of these projects in the upcoming weeks: senior proposal, children's book dummy & finals, islam paper, more paintings. One more time.

most important illustration i've made to date. a portrait of my sister anna and how dyslexia is both a challenge and a gift for her.
